Drop The Knife, The Tauntaun Sleeping Bag Is Now Real – Tauntaun sleeping bag – Gizmodo.

Thanks to Lucasfilm’s nod of approval, ThinkGeek’s got a treat for every Jedi’s snuggly-wuggly-cuddly-just-ten-more-minutes-please-mom side. I wanna throw a sleepover to have an excuse to roll out lotsa these Tauntaun sleeping bags which “simulate the warmth of a Tauntaun carcass.”

It started out as an April Fools joke, but as it happens with most of ThinkGeek’s pranks: People wanted the real thing. So after some pleading with Lucasfilm, ThinkGeek got the blessings needed to bring us this Tauntaun sleeping bag complete with a lightsaber zipper pull. And whether it mimics that Tauntaun smell or not, I’d definitely rather spend $100 on this sleeping bag than try to make my own. [ThinkGeek —Thanks, Nat!]

Yesterday was the finale to a straight week of rain that flooded Atlanta like no one has ever seen…literally.  Water levels rose to the highest since a flood sometime in the 19teens.  We had a little water in the basement but nothing major.

We can almost see Canoe from our office window.  Its amazing that the sign is still it up.

This is  a shot if Andy’s new backdoor neighbors house.  He says they just finished building the house.  So sad.  His house in the background was fine.

Wow, this is one bad ass rocking horse.  To bad my nephews are to old for this one.  Tim, what do you think, should I weld one of these bad boys up for Ben?

After a frustrating false start with my home brew 240 extension cord, I voltage checked everything today, giggered a few things just right, and BOOM, the welder came to life.  Sweeeeet.  Now I only need to:

1. build a bench
2. rent a bottle of gas
3. buy:
   • helmet
   • filler rods (matched for the cromo I’m using)
   • tungstens
   • hole saws
   • bench vice
   • bench grinder
   • pliers
