February 23rd, 2009 | by admin | Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »After trying to stick out out, I finally couldn’t stand my own stink. There is just something about the principal of paying for toiletries in the airport while the airline is holding your bags hostage that rubs me the wrong way. Anyway, an overprice bottle of Right Guard later I smell like a Paris whore… or maybe a Paris gigolo…either way I’m blowing out the Sport scent like crazy.
BTW, the top result when googing for “Paris Whore” without the quotes is: “Paris Hilton is a Racist Coke Whore” LOL!

Hell Is An Airport Hotel Outside Of JFK When Your Wife Is Waiting In Spain
February 23rd, 2009 | by admin | Posted in Uncategorized | 2 Comments »Today concludes the first chapter in the worst travel experience I have had in…well maybe ever. To make a long story short, Delta sent me to through Philly to JFK where I was supposed to catch a flight to Nerja. I got into Philly at 6. The flight was schedule to leave at 6:45 but at 6:30 they told us the plane would leave at 9:15. I asked the counter if I should take the train or a cab and they said that I would have no problem making my connection and that we would probably leave earlier, we were just waiting on some weather related congestion to clear out of New York. OK, at this point, I’m nervous but I decide to stay with the flights instead of driving from Philly to NYC because bailing on my bags would probably have meant that they would not have gotten to Nerja.
Pay attention to the times here. At 6:30 there was a delay posted for a 9:15 departure. That would have given me PLENTY of time to drive to JFK and catch my 10:45. 8:15 roles around and they announce that we are cleared for departure for but that the co-pilot has rolled off duty and is not eligible to fly any more today. They are bringing a pilot in but he won’t be there until after 10:00. Are you kidding me! Didn’t they know that an hour and 45 minutes ago, when I specifically asked the gate agent if I needed to consider alternate ways to NY? Google Maps says it is 2 hours and 12 minutes and 118 miles.
Unreal. The schedule and gave me advice on a departure that was NEVER possible to fulfill. To add insult to injury, this was clearly a human screw up but Delta is calling it a weather related delay so they wouldn’t give out hotel vouchers, upgrades, or anything. At this point it is pretty clear that Delta has zero respect for their customers. Their people and process screwed up and no one was willing to even try to make it right. From the flight crew to the gate crew to the business policy setters, they all failed. I would say that I hope they go out of business because the certainly deserve to but they have already taken a spin on the merry go round of bankruptcy.
Oh yeah, did I mention that in addition to missing the flights and having to spring for a hotel, Delta wouldn’t give me my bags back for the night and my crap hotel doesn’t even have comp toothbrushes/toothpaste.
Thank God this day is over.
Bluetooth Skype Success!!!
February 16th, 2009 | by admin | Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »After wasting half a day on Sunday I was able to get my new Bluetooth Jawbone headset paired up with my laptop so that I can use the headset to Skype. This is my first venture into the Bluetooth->laptop world and yesterday not withstanding, I am quickly becoming a big fan.
