I slept in this morning after staying up all night writing frantic emails. Kate had a wonderful suprise breakfast waiting for me. Hey anything that is not oatmeal theses days is a huge win!

Scooters are a dime a dozen but they are ragged out utility not toys. Vespas are luxuries that are few and far between. There are more Vesas in midtown Atlanta than downtown Nerja.
Also, cats love to sun themselves on black scooter seats parked in the sun. They aparently make great scratching posts too.

Today is the first time Nerja has felt like a beach town. Kate and I had breakfast on the water near the Balcon but walked down to Carabeo to find a place to chill out for a while. The sun is finally shaking off the chill and a good number of people are out.

The rain let up long enough to give us a rainbow.

It rained all day for the first few days. I snapped this on the way
down to the small beach directly down the street from us. It has been
beat up pretty bad by a few storms this year and is not in great
shape. It is however perfect for dog walks. The first time down the
cat in the lower right almost lost it’s life to a fired up Foxy.

Kate met me at the Madrid airport in the rain. It was so great to be
together again. The flight was a piece of cake but our car was so
small that Foxy and Neena had to sit in our laps! After 10 hours in
their crates they couldn’t have been happier about it.
BTW – With nothing to loose I tried driving our euro speed skate. I
have to say I think I did a hell of a job my first time out of the
gate on a stick.

Foxy and Neena were great this afternoon. Neena wimpeded just a fee
times but neither one was to anxious. It still about broke my heart
to turn them over.
