I slept in this morning after staying up all night writing frantic emails. Kate had a wonderful suprise breakfast waiting for me. Hey anything that is not oatmeal theses days is a huge win!
Meggie posted a preview of our wedding pictures on her blog this morning. WOW they are absolutely amazing! Kate and I were looking for a journalistic/artistic departure from the standard posed wedding pictures and Meggie could not have been a better choice. Not only are the pictures unbelievable but when she threatened to punch one of my groomsmen in the throat if he didn’t get back in line during a shoot, I knew we had made the righ decision! Oh my God that was funny. She also deserves special props for having Kate and me get up before sunrise on Sunday morning to go do a beach shoot. It was a bit of a trick helping Kate back into her wedding dress at 6:00 AM but it was so worth it. We spent about an hour taking photos on the beach, the jetty, and on the pier. Kate was so beautiful even though she didn’t like her hair. Thanks for bringing the coffee Meggie. That was one of my favorite parts of the entire wedding experience.

Kate and I decided to take some time for ourselves before the wedding week craziness starts and spend some qt on a quick day hike. We went on a two hour round trip hike up Blood Mountain from the Neels Gap trail head. The best part of the hike had to be on the way down when Kate said “You know I probably should not say this but have I ever told you that I have never broken a bo…” and proceeded to trip over a root and just manage to catch herself before doing some serious pre-wedding facial damage. Priceless.

The Fourth at Pawleys was amazing.
A tornado hit downtown Atlanta last Friday night. I wasn’t downtown when it happend but went to check out the damage on Saturday afternoon. Windows were out all over the Centennial Park area. This stoplight repairman was working outside of CNN Center seen in the background.
